Water Awareness for Rescue Professionals

I've been meaning to put these slide up since I ran the training for OxSAR back in the spring.

A bit of background to the training: the training is based on the Water Awareness for Rescue Professionals DVD, and these are the slides I've created to accompany the session. As an ALSAR team, our role in water rescues is very simple: we stay dry and don't make the situation worse. Some of the team are trained up to a higher level (e.g. as DEFRA flood access responders or swift water rescuers) but those skills aren't appropriate for us to be using on the vulnerable missing person searches that are OxSAR's main role.

Feel free to download the slides if you want to use them: either as a pdf or a slightly wonkey ppt.
